We Must Stop the War. Innocent People Must Not Be Sacrificed.
The US under Trump and Israel under Netanyahu have started a war against Iran. Surprisingly, this happened even while nuclear negotiations were underway. Even though Iran has maintained a theocratic regime that has committed numerous human rights violations, and countless citizens have recently lost their lives during protests, this cannot justify a war. Democracy in Iran must be won through the power of the Iranian people themselves. What people outside the country can do is to apply various forms of pressure so that the Iranian government does not suppress its people and to stand in solidarity with the Iranian people. In this regard, the Human Rights Solidarity has held protests in front of the Iranian Embassy in Korea and has also met with the Iranian ambassador to demand an end to the repression of the people.
As we can see now, Trump and Netanyahu have no concern for democracy, human rights, or even human life. Even after a Tomahawk missile attack that took the lives of 180 children, they remain unmoved. War is especially cruel to children. This is why we, as adults, must raise our voices even louder to stop this war that began with the invasion by the US and Israel. War is a horrific crime by states that takes away everything from people all at once, including their lives. The war must stop immediately.
Human Rights Solidarity opposes the war started by the US and Israel. Therefore, we firmly demand: the US and Israel must stop the war immediately.
At the same time, as we remember the children who have died in Iran, we hope to gather even the smallest gestures of support. We hope our shared concern can somehow reach those enduring such chaos and suffering and offer even a small measure of comfort.
Please use the section below to join the anti-war signature campaign. Those who wish to contribute further are also welcome to participate in the fundraising effort. Donations will be sent to Iran through appropriate channels.
The anti-war signature campaign and the fundraising effort in solidarity with the victims of war will run for about three weeks, from Thursday, March 12 to Tuesday, March 31.
We are also running a social media hashtag campaign. Please write your name on the attached banner and post it on your social media account with the hashtags #OpposeWarOnIran and #RememberIranWarVictims.
Anyone can participate, and we warmly encourage broad participation. Thank you, as always.
